With over 34,000 members, The British Psychological Society ( BPS ) is the representative body for psychologist and psychology in the UK. Among its many activities, the BPS undertakes provides information on matters relating to psychology and testing at work. It has established a curriculum for non-psychologists wishing to train in the use of tests which is applied by a number of test publishers.

The Information Commissioner enforces and oversees the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Commissioner is a UK independent supervisory authority reporting directly to the UK Parliament and has an international role as well as a national one. This is a useful sight if you wish to investigate rights and responsibilities relating to the data generated by tests, assessments and other instruments.
